I recently worked with them to purchase a home and couldn't have been happier with their service and the experience overall. Buying a home in the intensely competitive 2021 market certainly wasn't easy, so that's saying a lot! To complicate matters, we were living in the Bay Area while house hunting, so we had to navigate the buying process remotely with their help leading the way from Encinitas. Sarah and Michelle went above and beyond to make the experience as convenient and easy for us as possible with that in mind. For every house we expressed interest in, they made sure to get early access to the home and sent us detailed video walk-throughs of every room, all exterior features, and even the surrounding neighborhood. It felt like we were there with them. When we did fly down for a weekend to see particular homes in person, they made sure to pack in as many appointments as possible so that our time in town was maximized and pre-arranged. We didn't have to do a thing except follow these knowledgeable real estate tour guides around! Once we decided a particular home was worth bidding on, Sarah and Michelle used their combined years of transactional experience, and extensive best-practice knowledge, to make our bids as competitive as possible without tipping the scales too far that we felt uncomfortable in our offers. That was such a fine line to master in the intensely competitive environment, and they mastered it. Sarah and Michelle really taught us how to trust gut instinct and navigate the murky waters of each home's pros and cons as they relate to our wish list (and deal-breaker list!). Ultimately, it wasn't an MLS or Zillow alert that matched us to our new home. It was Sarah and Michelle's network of agent relationships that allowed us to purchase our dream home off-market, something we never thought possible in the current market. The negotiation process was tough, and they represented our interests with the right amount of firmness needed while still keeping the sellers happy, since they could have been swayed at any point to jump ship and put the house on the market. Not only did we receive more than 25% over our asking price, but they also negotiated an extended free rent-back period for our family.
